Body image is a big concern in the city of Chicago due to the ads, and the types of commercials that are being shown toward teenagers. There is many ways that Chicago can prevent this type of issue to keep on growing but the one thing that does stand out is The Body Project. Now The Body Project is a group of Peer Health Advocates who work to promote positive body image within the UChicago community. The goal as of this project is to decrease the percentage of girls whom have a negative view of themselves. They have several focuses but for me one that can be used more would be the facilitation of the non-judgmental conversations about body image and eating disorders for people of all body types and backgrounds. Having non-judgmental conversations about body image is big because it will help others feel more positive about themselves and they will not feel as if they are being attacked because they way they be looking. The University of Chicago has plenty of ideas teenage girls and even older women can try and after a first i bet they will feel better about themselves. -Selva
